From textbook companies to curriculum design to standardized testing, from elementary school to university, the entire US education system follows Texas.

Which is no longer controlled by the worst fucking people you have ever seen.

By FAR the bigger threat to education in 2026 is AI-driven curriculum from big tech, not the fossils on the TX Board of Education.

Más inútil que mandar a La Séptima un currículum de ilustrador o de diseñador gráfico.

Yes, if California and Texas agree on a curriculum, then that's that.

PRONOUN PALACE IS GOING TO BE MANDATORY SCHOOL CURRICULUM IN EVERY COUNTY IN TEXAS

The geniuses at @yale.edu literally re-wrote their mission and curriculum with the help of Chris Rufo and the Buckley Institute.

They and every school like them shouldn't get a dime in federal money (which they endorsed as a valid tactic) until the whole board and every member of the admin is gone.
lmao at all the tech billionaires who saw 2024 and went "mandate???" and tied themselves and their entire fucking industries inextricably to a sinking ship

Grade 1 - learn to use Duck Duck Go.

Teacher here.

Not nearly a true as it was 2 decades ago. Because most of the country has moved on to Chromebooks and online curriculum. Few school districts are buying new textbooks anymore.

If a school board candidate talks about “school choice” or “parental rights” this is code for “Catholic Teachings Only” and “we will actually pay PragerU for your local school curriculum.” Do I even have to get into the queerphobia?

Hmm... listening to a thing about geoscience curriculum changes (as one does) that doesn't once bring up the licensing requirements that more or less structure the geo or earth science curriculum.

An entire media studies curriculum just wrote itself in front of our eyes.
This is how local news is covering the fact that far-right dark money created a fake trans org and sent millions of mailers from it to incite mass hatred in advance of the election. You know, early genocide stuff. Yet every word and design choice nevertheless reinforces the idea it’s an actual org.

So @oaknational.bsky.social has turned the national curriculum into a knowledge graph. A few thoughts on curriculum as algorithm vs curriculum as heuristic, from a former History teacher:
