It certainly doesn’t help that the US government a) has personalist financial grift reasons to go along with this, and b) wants to push offensive cyberops. (I’d say they’d love the plausible deniability but tbh I think this admin would prefer to take credit and brag about it. But the next guys…)

my intuition is that on point (2) there’s a general problem where any re-assembly work is likely much less hard and can be done by humans or OSS models, and requires cross-query characterization to address. have been thinking about this since the cyberops paper from anthropic last year

It's been an interesting few months working through this certification. Also learned a lot about cyber resilience, ethical hacking and data security. It'll be interesting to see where this leads.
