While visiting the @uco.es Experimental Farm with our Food Science students, we came across this #Cynaracardunculus, often used in Mediterranean rural areas to coagulate milk for the manufacture of some "torta" type cheeses.

Cardoon or artichoke thistle (Cynara cardunculus) in the Hortus Botanicus of Amsterdam is visited by a lot of bumble bees (Bombus sp.).
