my good friend @bonisdead.bsky.social created a 3D background engine to replace my GMS1.4 D3D-based backgrounds - it looks and runs 1000x better than the old backgrounds ever did.

A horse escaped from Meiji University’s stables this morning, and took a stroll around the neighborhood causing quite a commotion. After about 30 min it quietly returned home. No one, including the horse, was hurt.

Guay! aunque estaría bien que mantuvieran los dos. Hay máquinas algo antiguas que corren bien Minecraft, pero que en W11 no soportan Vk, pero sí OGL y/o D3D, (aunque en Linux sí tienen Vk).
De hecho, en Godot se ha implementado D3D en paralelo a Vulkan por esto mismo (además de dar soporte a XBox).

Get into the habit of naming all D3D resources you create. Even a simple NAME_D3D12_OBJECT(), if using ComPtr, is better than nothing. It helps with making sense of the Debug Layer immeasurably.

Aha! I’ve noticed this on live as well and had a note to take a look
I fixed this a few months back and it was due to a huge amount of D3D frees competing with some D3D locks
Switching to the segment heap mostly solved it (amongst a few other changes) but it appears we’ve regressed somewhere..
