4 models on the runway. All are wearing fitted jackets with looser trousers that bunch up over the shin like a soft boot. While one outfit, in black and gold, features no undershirt, the other three have a vest with subtle contrast to the jacket, and a raised collar angled around the chin. A late-twenties man with dark skin and greenish-hazel eyes. His head is shaven except for the very short-cropped top, and he usually leaves his still growing-in beard at a neat stubble. He seems to be wearing heavy armor with high shoulder guards just visible in the image. Vivienne looking out over the Skyhold courtyard from the balcony of her quarters. Even in profile we can see the definition of the high cheekbones and full lips. The very close-cut hair defies Orlesian custom but manages to only accentuate her more. The outfit, on the other hand, is very much en vogue, though instead of the more common bright colors of the season, she has chosen silver and white silks to complement her rich, deep brown skin.

Edited the map a bit more, trying to unify the spellings more toward an Occitan-Catalan compromise spelling of various origins.

The POI are just the key Montilyet holdings, and the assembly located halfway between the crown and merchants.

An edited map of Antiva City based on a wood-carving-like map of Marseille. The city is situated on the left ie west of the map, with water opening to the north and to the east. There are further labels in the ocean, one toward the west says to Seleny, ie the river, northeast says to Treviso, and southeast says to Rialto. The map is labeled Città dell’Antiva 9:50. There’s a silly crest with an anchor as well as a crow. The city is meant to have a population of a bit over 200,000 (only counting the urban area) Most of the city shown in the map is pretty dense urban area, with a vast hilly area with some native estates and vineyards along the northern coast, and the city slowly turning pastoral inland toward the west. The northern hills are under the commune or county of Venza, the nearest western commune is Vesubie. Larger islands are also named. There are about 20 districts visible in the map, with names pulled from several large Mediterranean cities to signify the cosmopolitan nature of the city. There are markers for the key places: Villa Montilyet, the vineyard Eyry, Josie and Cass live on is in the Venza hills (or more specifically the vineyard estate is referred as Els Montilyet, the Villa is just the main building), Palazzo Otranto, Josie’s sister Yvette’s family’s city home close to the hills but in the Cap Ferrat district in the northern part of the city proper. The last one is Palazzo Montilyet, the city home where Josie’s parents (and in 9:50 also Eyry’s parents) live right in the heart of the city. As Antiva is a huge maritime city, its commercial harbor stretches out for a good 3-4 miles from the small harbor that comes all the way to the heart of the city, which is reserved mainly for passenger vessels. Eyry years later, dressed in an impeccably tailored and fashionable Antivan riding suit with a leather coat hanging off her shoulders. Not only does she greatly prefer keeping to her own fashion, it also serves to play up her current affiliation: she IS the marquise of the Emerald Graves and the southern wilds, but that's clearly just a tidy little ungovernable political gift, and all her ambitions lie in the Bay. I like that Thedas map (and there's so much good stuff on the blog) but I think the scale is still off even if it is math fudged by the DA team. I'm using something closer to this, with shipping times from Hanseatic and Mediterranean operators.

An upside down map of Europe, Near East and Northern Africa, with a line from the northwestern tip of Portugal (here 'southeast') to the Baltic, which comes out to around 1,600 miles. This would be comparable to Llomerryn to the base of the Waking Sea in Orlais. The same map with a line from Gibraltar to Lebanon, with the width of the Mediterranean coming up to around 2,100 miles. This would be comparable to northern Rivain to the Donarks.

Marchers speak Valen (Daaler) along Minanter including Wycome delta; the diverged dialect south of the Vimmarks is called Southmarch (Zuidmark) and is the same mostly differs in spelling and pronunciation.

Southmarch and Valen being the two main languages used in the Free Marches. Valen is inland north of the Vimmarks, Southmarch the coast. They're mostly mutually intelligible, think Dutch and Danish.
