El Dapre cotiza una nueva moneda protocolaria para la Presidencia
El Departamento Administrativo de la Presidencia de la República (Dapre) inició un estudio de mercado para cotizar una nueva moneda protocolaria que será utilizada en actividades oficiales del presidente Abelardo de la Espriella. Según la información publicada por La Silla Vacía, la tradición de entregar este tipo de monedas viene de gobiernos anteriores y se mantiene durante la actual administración. El proceso todavía no cuenta con presupuesto asignado y corresponde, por ahora, a una cotización para conocer las condiciones del mercado.
La proyección contempla un mínimo de 100 monedas, con un diámetro aproximado de seis centímetros. La cotización deberá mantenerse vigente durante tres meses y, si se aprueba, la entrega tendría que realizarse dentro del mes siguiente a la aprobación de la garantía y antes del 31 de diciembre de 2026.
El diseño incluye en el anverso la cabeza de un tigre en alto relieve, esmaltada en naranja, negro y blanco y con ojos verdes. Debajo aparece una cartela dorada con las iniciales del presidente, mientras que al fondo se representa la fachada del Palacio y la bandera de Colombia. También figuran los años 2026-2030 y los lemas “Honor y lealtad” y “Jefatura para la Protección Presidencial”.
El reverso incorpora una guirnalda de laurel, el nombre de Carlos Andrés Caicedo, jefe para la protección presidencial, y tres figuras: un integrante del Grupo de Operaciones Especiales de la Policía, un casco espartano dorado y una agente de protección presidencial.
La Silla Vacía señala que este tipo de monedas también fueron adquiridas durante los gobiernos de Iván Duque y Gustavo Petro. En 2021 se realizaron dos compras por $42,9 millones y $41,9 millones, mientras que durante el gobierno Petro hubo adquisiciones anuales desde 2023 por $9,9 millones, $5 millones y $11 millones.
