Solving 500+ DSA problems doesn't guarantee you'll crack a software engineering interview.

You also need CS fundamentals, DBMS, system design, and the ability to explain your project decisions.

Don't just solve problems. Understand the WHY.

even just having the bot scrape out the punchlines of "must have 5 years experience with [DBMS created 3 years ago]" would help. but also we had a technology for that, and it was "an email." (the email recipient's 5min read time was valuable, but also amortizable.)

Igor Suhorukov: pg_vexec one month on: ahead of ClickHouse on Parquet, close behind on MergeTree
A month after porting Greenplum to PostgreSQL 19, pg_vexec beats ClickHouse on Parquet and nearly catches up on MergeTree in ClickBench, and a rough draft of a GPU version is faster still. I’ve published the telemetry from the runs: charts, metrics, DBMS logs and numbers from deep inside the engin

No. It's what the wealthy will do with "AI" to us.

Likely, it's enslavement by the Mark of the Beast (Palantir + data centers + Oracle DBMS + "AI" + digital cash replacing physical cash, to watch everything you do and cut off your ability to buy food and water if you piss off the wealthy).

A colleague once asked a chat bot something about high availability in a specific DBMS - while screen sharing with me - when I'd just told him how it worked. It gave him the wrong answer, which I then had to refute because he clearly weighted its answer higher than mine.

#PostgreSQL の関数を併用すると、SQLの表現力がときに想像を超える。
unnest() は次のSQL文のように、バルクインサートを可能に。

INSERT INTO some_table (age, city, created_at)
SELECT unnest(array[20, 30, 40]), 'Tokyo', now();

INSERT INTO some_table (age, …

I was excited at one point because most IT problems had been solved.
Scalable DBMS, networking math miracles, Moores Law bounding along, WWW tech removing client compatibility (*real* write once, run anywhere, scale up 1000X)
Not perfect, but amazing compared to now, where HW is wasted on $lopware.
