Now keep in mind, it’s in pre-production but that doesn’t mean it’s anywhere close to release yet. It just means I’ve successfully made it to the outlines/script phase, meaning whatever made the cut in pre-outlines is sticking.
Still lots to do but progress has finally been made🥹 #DBTPSeries

While DBTP isn’t strictly a romantic comedy anymore, there’s a sprinkle of romance in there cuz I still adore the genre. It’s not my show if there’s no romance (or shirtless men) in there lol.
So uhhhh hope y’all still have an appetite for some black yaoi💚❤️ #DBTPSeries

A black queer sitcom that has 5 best friends making the most of their weekends before returning to work on Monday.
Such a simple premise...so many possibilities as to what the hell they could do each weekend ;) #DBTPSeries

Andre: Grew up in the south so he’s a casual fan. Loved Beyoncé’s take on country music though.
Aaron: Loves it, especially if it’s about a truck lol.
Priya: Not a fan but wouldn’t mind listening if it’s on (Andre’s influence lol.)
Preston: Hates it with a passion.

#<3oc What’s your OC’s opinion on country music? Do they like it, not like it, or have any favorites?

Anyway, I'm officially on break from writing/creating anything, especially related to Down By The Pool, for two reasons.
1. I need a new computer & plan to get one before the year concludes, thus I'm in money-saving mode.
2. I'm exhausted & burnt out. Tired of restarting production. #DBTPSeries

Sometimes you gotta step away to see what you've got in order to really see what you've been doing. and I haven't really done that since DBTP's conception back in February '25. So, for the rest of the year, I'm going on a much needed break.
It'll be worth it when I come back refreshed. #DBTPSeries

So, after some time away from the outline, I’ve decided to go back and tweak what I’ve done thus far before moving forward.
Reason being? Well, it’s cuz certain elements of the current version could use some revisions or be written out entirely. #DBTPSeries

I’m currently in my least favorite part of writing this pilot outline: the middle part😭
Writing the middle of any story has always been very difficult, as it’s my weak spot, but for this pilot specifically, it’s all about the execution of it all. I already know what happens I just…

I essentially have to fight with myself on how to approach this cuz, if I’m being fully transparent with y’all, I tend to go overboard with changes and THIS is why I always restart the process of making this show.
So it’s a careful process for me lol #DBTPSeries

…have to make sure it’s executed well. It’s where all of the conflict reaches a boiling point and it ultimately leads to the gang’s eventual blossoming friendship. That’s all I’ll say cuz spoilers lol
