On the one hand, I do like the Rocketeer-inspired take; it works well in the context of the show's 1940s period atmosphere.
And like Harley Quinn, EP Bruce Timm co-created Roxy with Paul Dini for the DCAU; I can't creatively fault him trying something different this time around.

like there are other DCAU alums in the credits but it hardly feels as inspired as the old team's work. it generally just feels like One Guy's vision

My depiction of Jor-El and Lara moments before sending their only son to Earth before their planet's destruction.
I was inspired by the DCAU but also added my own elements

Its dumb that anime tourists act like western media never has fanservice like the DCAU wasn't afraid to have fanservice, Starfire's attire, Raven's legs, Avatar had a beach episode, My Adventures With Superman is directly inspired by Dragon Ball Z and has fanservice!

I think it’ll be shown that he was inspired by Superman saving Metropolis in the black hole incident and then wants to join the Justice Gang like how Billy/Shazam wanted to join the Justice League in the DCAU.

One of Batman's utterly fascinating rouges. I hope they go full body horror in the film that's released this October. And no punches held back this time, no censors 🩸

Superman amd Batman are DC's mismatched buddies. There's some jokiness inherent in their pairing. The DCAU 3-parter World's Finest understood this (and I actually think it's better than the comic it was inspired by. We see them clash before actually DEFEATING the villains, for one).

Gunn said the DCU was inspired by the DCAU, so there’s hope. Superman 2025 did feel like Superman TAS.

Rewatching some of the DCAU, as one does, and GOD Brad Garrett was such an INSPIRED casting as Lobo

This was part of a short story I had where a parasitic tapeworm like creature would infest a crew and control their minds (while granting them weak biotic powers as a side-effect). It was kinda inspired by Starro from the DCAU.

JL Action - feels very inspired by DCAU. animation style is cartoony, which i don't like, but that's just me
Smallville - really good for live action.
Super Hero Girls - the series isn't really my jam, but Zee is always a welcome addition

Batman and Wonder Woman still fighting beside eachother, two years after the Near Apocalypse Of '09 and eight years before the incident that caused Bruce Wayne to quit being Batman forever.
Inspired by Bruce Timm's DCAU art style. @dcauwatchtower.bsky.social's take on Wonder Woman, and others!

Maybe it's because I grew up spoiled reading my mom's vogue after she was done and loving sailor moon, but the other day I was watching an episode of some DCAU show and like... what the fuck is this.

"Adventures in the DC Universe" #1 hit shelves on this day (Feb. 12) in 1997! This DC Comics tie-in series, written by Steve Vance with pencils by John Delaney, created a unique animated-inspired spin on the DC Universe of the 1990s before the DCAU's creation! #DCAU #DCUniverse

I actually drew the "My Adventures With Superman" versions of them just over 2 years ago, but I think if I drew them again I'd either go for the 90's DCAU versions or maybe do an original redesign of them in a sort of 60's Richard Donner inspired setting.

He pretty much authored the “peak” of DCAU shows, inspired and promoted a generation of black comic creators…and wrote the absolute worst plot twist ever with that Batman Beyond/JLU crossover episode. You take the bad with the good. 😊
