NEWS: DCMPD Officer Daniel Hodges shared an email he received from the Mint re: missing Jan. 6 coin.
The reason they gave him?
It did not have the "broadest appeal" and is "no longer available."

Yeah I was just about to say, EMS, fire and DCMPD are all an integrated response force here the District - the cops will very frequently be dispatched as first responders if they're the closest. You can't really call in a medical emergency without a chance of police, especially if there's conflict.
