Another interesting and slightly disappointing development was former Carrollton Council Member Adam Polter comparing DCTA to DART and asking why DART can't spend it's money better.
DCTA is great, but it's a 6 day a week service with 1 train and half a dozen bus routes. There is no comparison.

i think Cotton Belt was a lightly used branch line (orthogonal to Dallas) and just never built to high standards to begin with.
DART/DCTA had to rebuild everything from the ground up. it’s all the costs of LRT minus the traction power.
