Assuming, for the sake of argument, that this 5yo child was abandoned: Why was the appropriate pathway having ICE provide care and custody? Why wasn't the call to the Minnesota DCYF?

We were initially told July 28 so finding out Thursday we would be having a baby on Saturday put us into panic mode. So we are scrambling trying to get everything in order. But by this afternoon, we should be ready to welcome this kiddo. Shoutout to DCYF for not doing a fucking thing to help.
Well, tonight is the night. The 17 year old we have been fostering is giving birth. She will be induced at 6:45 PM and the RiotFamily we have a new addition! We are stoked and we are terrified, and we are so full of militant joy to welcome this new life into our family!!!
