DKC2 also has one of the best video game soundtracks of all-time. Period.
Started a playthrough of a wonderful game this evening.
I've beat DKC1 a million times. I've beat DKC3 several times. I never did beat DKC2 as a kid; I'm going to fix that. I've played, but never finished. It is time. 🥹

Donkey Kong Country 2's map design is exceptionally elegant in that it uses each of the game's 13 level themes exactly thrice each, without using any of them more than twice in a row. This is accomplished via several clever uses of the environment.
