Oui, déjà mis en cité avec une belle liste.
Et il ne faudrait surtout pas aller voir ses autres tutos sur dnsfilter ou ublock origin pour éviter les pubs dans les app Android ou sur les internets en général

Top 10 Best Protective DNS (PDNS) Services in 2026
Top 10 Best Protective DNS (PDNS) Services in 2026
Protective DNS went from best practice to expectation: NSA and CISA jointly recommend it, national programs run it at population scale, and it remains the highest-leverage, lowest-friction control most organizations can deploy this quarter within modern zero trust security frameworks . Cisco Umbrella is our top PDNS pick for 2026 on proven intelligence and scale, with DNSFilter leading published-price value and Cloudflare Gateway spanning free tiers to national infrastructure. PDNS is a resolver service that checks every DNS query against threat intelligence and policy, refusing to resolve malicious domains cutting off phishing, malware delivery, and C2 at the naming layer. Below, the ten best PDNS services ranked. Quick Verdict •             Best overall: Cisco Umbrella — the proven enterprise PDNS standard •             Best value / SMB & MSP: DNSFilter — transparent per-user pricing, MSP multi-tenancy •             Best free-to-national arc: Cloudflare Gateway — free tier to sovereign-scale infrastructure •             Best edge-scale: Akamai — carrier/enterprise resolver protection •             Best DDI-integrated: Infoblox — PDNS with infrastructure-grade context # Service Best for Standout capability Pricing 1 Cisco Umbrella Enterprise standard Talos intelligence + attribution Package quote 2 DNSFilter SMB/MSP value Published per-user, MSP multi-tenancy Published per-user 3 Cloudflare Gateway Free-to-enterprise arc Free tier to national PDNS Free/published/quote 4 Akamai Carrier/enterprise scale Edge-scale protective resolution Quote (contract) 5 Infoblox DDI-integrated PDNS Threat Defense on core DNS Platform quote 6 Vercara (UltraDNS) Authoritative + protective UltraDDR + UltraDNS pairing Quote 7 Palo Alto Networks PA firewall estates Inline PDNS in existing policy NGFW subscription 8 ScoutDNS MSP/education value CIPA-friendly multi-tenant filtering Published tiers 9 OpenText (Webroot) SMB/MSP Webroot stacks Agent + network PDNS Published per-seat 10 Whalebone EU telco/ISP + enterprise EU-sovereign protective DNS Quote (accessible) How We Evaluated Research-based ranking against the qualities NSA/CISA’s PDNS guidance emphasizes: threat-feed quality and update speed, detection beyond blocklists (DGA, tunneling, newly registered domains), coverage models (network egress, roaming endpoints, encrypted DNS), logging and SOC integration, and operational fit from SMB to national scale. Pricing cited where published. The 10 Best PDNS Services in 2026 1. Cisco Umbrella — Best Overall Cisco Umbrella — Best Overall Best for: enterprises wanting the most battle-tested protective resolver with mature integrations. Umbrella has been the reference PDNS since its OpenDNS days: Talos-fed intelligence, DGA and tunneling detection, virtual appliances for internal-IP attribution, AD integration, roaming clients, and years of large-fleet operational polish now positioned within Cisco Secure Access for SSE-bound buyers, as highlighted in analysis of top Secure Web Gateway (SWG) vendors . Key features: •             Talos-fed threat intelligence •             DGA/tunneling detection •             Internal-IP attribution and AD integration •             Roaming clients •             SIEM export and enterprise integrations Pros: intelligence depth; enterprise attribution; proven scale; broad ecosystem support. Cons: package pricing climbs; feature gravity shifting toward Secure Access. Pricing: package quote. [VERIFY: standalone tier fit] Standout differentiator: every enterprise requirement — attribution, policy granularity, SIEM export, roaming parity — has a worn path here. 2. DNSFilter — Best SMB/MSP Value DNSFilter — Best SMB/MSP Value Best for: small/mid businesses and MSPs protecting many tenants fast. DNSFilter pairs machine-learning domain categorization with the category’s most transparent pricing and genuinely good MSP multi-tenancy roaming clients included making it the default protective DNS for the sub-enterprise market and teams evaluating Zero Trust access and threat filtering options . Key features: •             Real-time ML categorization •             Published per-user tiers •             MSP-native multi-tenancy •             Roaming coverage •             Threat and content filtering Pros: transparent pricing; one-hour onboarding; MSP tooling. Cons: enterprise attribution/integration depth trails Umbrella/Infoblox. Pricing: published per-user tiers. Standout differentiator: published pricing and MSP tooling that make fleet protection a workflow, not a project. 3. Cloudflare Gateway — Best Free-to-Enterprise Arc Cloudflare Gateway — Best Free-to-Enterprise Arc Best for: organizations that want credible PDNS running this week — and a platform to grow into. Gateway delivers DNS filtering on Cloudflare’s enormous anycast resolver network, built to withstand hyper-volumetric attacks like recent 31.4 Tbps record-breaking DDoS assaults : free tiers to start, per-user pricing after, DoH/DoT native, and the same console that later adds SWG, ZTNA, and CASB. Cloudflare (with Accenture) delivers the UK NCSC’s national PDNS. Key features: •             Massive, fast resolver network •             Free tier plus published Zero Trust plans •             Native DoH/DoT •             WARP roaming clients •             Clean upgrade path to full SSE Pros: zero-to-protected in an afternoon; national-scale infrastructure; no dead end. Cons: deep enterprise AD attribution takes more work than Umbrella; advanced analytics in higher tiers. Pricing: free tier; published plans; enterprise quote. [VERIFY: tier limits] Standout differentiator: no rival spans hobbyist to government on the same infrastructure. 4. Akamai — Best Carrier/Enterprise Scale Akamai — Best Carrier/Enterprise Scale Best for: governments, carriers, and enterprises needing protective resolution at population scale. Akamai’s Secure Internet Access runs protective resolution on one of the internet’s largest platforms, regularly absorbing massive multi-hundred Gbps DDoS traffic spikes with operator offerings that let ISPs protect subscriber bases wholesale and threat data from a giant global vantage point. Key features: •             Carrier-scale protective resolution •             Strong threat research •             Operator/ISP offerings •             Roaming and network coverage •             Pairs with Akamai app security Pros: massive scale and reliability; strong research; edge consolidation. Cons: enterprise/carrier-tier packaging; value assumes broader Akamai adoption. Pricing: quote-based contracts. Standout differentiator: the consolidation play where Akamai already fronts your traffic. 5. Infoblox — Best DDI-Integrated PDNS Infoblox — Best DDI-Integrated PDNS Best for: enterprises running serious internal DNS that want PDNS fused with infrastructure context. Infoblox Threat Defense applies DNS-specialized threat intelligence at the resolvers you operate, leveraging Zero Trust Data Access controls alongside IPAM context to show exactly which asset made the query, triggering ecosystem hooks to quarantine it automatically. Key features: •             DNS-native threat intelligence •             Query-level attribution via DDI •             On-prem + cloud enforcement •             Lookalike/DGA/tunneling analytics •             SOC/SOAR integrations Pros: native attribution; infrastructure-level enforcement; DNS-first research. Cons: platform economics assume Infoblox DDI; heavier than cloud resolvers. Pricing: platform quote. Standout differentiator: attribution is native — the DDI knows every lease and record. 6. Vercara (UltraDNS) — Best Authoritative + Protective Pairing Vercara (UltraDNS) — Best Authoritative + Protective Pairing Best for: enterprises pairing authoritative DNS resilience with protective resolution. Vercara engineers protective resolution (UltraDDR) alongside UltraDNS authoritative infrastructure one vendor guarding both directions of DNS, adhering to modern threat actor attribution frameworks to correlate external query anomalies with internal client behavior. Key features: •             UltraDDR protective resolution •             UltraDNS authoritative infrastructure •             Carrier-grade resilience •             Threat intelligence •             DigiCert portfolio integration Pros: guards both directions of DNS; carrier-grade; one vendor. Cons: confirm post-acquisition bundles; enterprise quotes. Pricing: quote-based. [VERIFY: DigiCert packaging] Standout differentiator: zone resilience and user protection bought together. 7. Palo Alto Networks DNS Security — Best for PA Estates Palo Alto Networks DNS Security — Best for PA Estates Best for: organizations with Palo Alto NGFWs wanting PDNS enforced inline. The DNS Security subscription turns every PA firewall into a protective resolver checkpoint: cloud-scale analytics detecting DGAs, tunneling, and newly weaponized domains, blocked inline with existing policy while guarding against zero-day exploits detailed in recent Palo Alto Networks advisories covering every device that transits the firewall. Key features: •             Inline all-device coverage at the firewall •             Strong DGA/tunneling analytics (Unit 42) •             Zero added infrastructure •             Unified policy •             Roaming via Prisma Access Pros: no new resolvers or agents; all-device coverage; unified policy. Cons: subscription stacking; roaming needs Prisma Access; PA-only. Pricing: NGFW subscription. Standout differentiator: the enforcement point you already operate closes the DNS gap network-wide. 8. ScoutDNS — Best MSP/Education Value ScoutDNS — Best MSP/Education Value Best for: MSPs and schools wanting content/threat filtering with CIPA-friendly controls. ScoutDNS is purpose-built for MSPs and education: content/threat filtering, multi-tenant management, and published tiers that make per-site budgeting trivial while implementing Zero Trust security roadmap principles . Key features: •             Content and threat filtering •             CIPA-friendly controls •             Multi-tenant management •             Published tiers •             Roaming options Pros: right-sized for MSP/education; transparent pricing; easy per-site budgeting. Cons: smaller intel footprint than the giants. Pricing: published tiers. Standout differentiator: protective DNS tuned for schools and the MSPs serving them. 9. OpenText (Webroot) — Best for SMB/MSP Webroot Stacks OpenText (Webroot) — Best for SMB/MSP Webroot Stacks Best for: existing Webroot/OpenText SMB estates wanting agent-and-network PDNS. Webroot DNS Protection (under OpenText) offers agent-and-network PDNS with published per-seat pricing and natural bundling into Webroot endpoint/MSP stacks, strengthening real-time credential monitoring and threat defense . Key features: •             Agent and network PDNS •             Published per-seat pricing •             Webroot endpoint bundling •             Content/threat filtering •             MSP-friendly Pros: consolidation economics for Webroot estates; published pricing. Cons: intel and analytics mid-pack; confirm roadmap under OpenText. [VERIFY] Pricing: published per-seat. Standout differentiator: PDNS that bundles cleanly into an existing Webroot/OpenText stack. 10. Whalebone — Best EU-Sovereign PDNS Whalebone — Best EU-Sovereign PDNS Best for: telcos, ISPs, and EU enterprises wanting protective DNS with EU data handling. Czech-built Whalebone serves telcos, ISPs, and enterprises with consumer-scale resolver protection (Aura) and enterprise PDNS (Immunity) at accessible quotes a European-sovereignty alternative tailored for securing distributed workforces . Cons: global channel thinner than US leaders. [VERIFY: packaging] Pricing: quote-based (accessible). Standout differentiator: the European-sovereignty resolver alternative at telco scale. Full Comparison Table Service Deployment DGA/tunneling detection Roaming coverage Published pricing Ideal buyer Cisco Umbrella Cloud resolver Yes Yes No (package) Enterprise standard DNSFilter Cloud resolver Partial Yes Yes SMB/MSP Cloudflare Gateway Cloud resolver Partial Yes (WARP) Free/tiers Free-to-enterprise Akamai Cloud/edge Yes Yes No Carrier/enterprise Infoblox DDI + cloud Yes Via endpoints No DDI-integrated Vercara Authoritative + PDNS Yes Yes No Authoritative+protective Palo Alto DNS Security Firewall-integrated Yes Via Prisma Via PA PA estates ScoutDNS Cloud resolver Partial Options Yes MSP/education OpenText (Webroot) Agent + network Partial Yes Yes Webroot stacks Whalebone Cloud resolver Yes Partial No EU telco/enterprise How to Choose a Protective DNS Service Apply the NSA/CISA selection logic to quotes: feed freshness (how fast are new malicious domains blocked demand evidence), detection beyond blocklists (DGA, tunneling, newly registered and lookalike domains), coverage per device class (network egress for IoT/guests, agents for roaming, DoH endpoints for browsers), and logging you can actually export. Then price per protected user across two finalists at your real seat count the published-tier services make this trivial; make the quoted tier match their transparency. Sovereignty buyers (Whalebone in the EU) should weigh jurisdiction alongside price. PDNS is the entry move of your DNS security program and an early zero-trust win deploy something this quarter. FAQ What is protective DNS (PDNS)? PDNS is a resolver service that checks every DNS query against threat intelligence and policy before answering refusing to resolve phishing, malware, C2, and other malicious domains. It blocks attacks at the naming layer, before any connection is made, for every protocol and device using the resolver. Why do NSA and CISA recommend PDNS? Because it’s high-leverage and low-friction: most attack chains touch DNS, blocking at resolution stops them pre-connection, and deployment usually means pointing resolvers rather than installing infrastructure. Their joint guidance (updated March 2025) details selection criteria feed quality, coverage, logging that this guide’s picks map to. Is PDNS the same as DNS filtering? PDNS is DNS filtering operationalized for security: threat-intelligence-driven blocking, analytics for tunneling and DGAs, logging for the SOC, and enterprise coverage models. Consumer-style category filtering shares the mechanism but not the mission. Can PDNS protect devices I can’t install agents on? Yes — that’s a core strength. Point network egress (DHCP-issued resolvers, firewall DNS enforcement) at the protective service and every IoT device, printer, and guest laptop inherits protection agentlessly. Pair with agents or firewall coverage for roaming devices. How does PDNS handle DNS-over-HTTPS (DoH)? Good services provide their own DoH/DoT endpoints so encrypted DNS still routes through protection, plus guidance for blocking third-party DoH resolvers at the firewall. Ask every vendor to demonstrate DoH coverage it’s the most common silent gap. What does protective DNS cost? From free tiers (Cloudflare Gateway) and published per-user SMB pricing (DNSFilter, ScoutDNS, Webroot) to quote-based enterprise platforms (Umbrella, Akamai, Infoblox) and firewall-subscription models (Palo Alto). Even premium PDNS is cheap per attack prevented the budget line to watch is log retention. Conclusion Cisco Umbrella is 2026’s enterprise PDNS standard, DNSFilter the SMB/MSP value default, and Cloudflare Gateway the free-to-national arc with Akamai and Infoblox owning carrier-scale and DDI-integrated needs, Palo Alto riding its estates, and Vercara, ScoutDNS, Webroot, and Whalebone serving authoritative-pairing, education, Webroot-stack, and EU-sovereignty buyers. Cover every device class, verify DoH handling, keep the logs, and deploy this quarter few controls buy more protection per hour of effort.
