DOA5U was an expanded version of the original DOA5, adding Tutorial, Combo Challenge, and Team Fight as new game modes. Alongside introducing Power Launchers, several changes were made to the Tag mode, incorporating new features such as the Force Out attack.

went back & found a vod the other night of me playing DOA5U akira from 12 years ago ( when you could upload right to youtube from ps3 ) and im kinda cooking in it, but i also recognize that they just, arent really blocking. the top DOA players would *CRUSH* me here

It was obvious that NiCO was designed to appeal to the anime fans garnered by the popularity of Marie Rose and Honoka. Heck, many post-DOA5U/LR characters are designed to fit a certain anime archetype and/or fetish if think about it.

DOA5 while its stages were a downgrade was still a lot of fun, it still had the DNA of the series. They kept things going with DOA5+, DOA5U, and DOA5LR. Then DOA6 happened and it's been all downhill from there. It's sad looking at how everything's been handled since that game.

I remember getting the platinum trophy on DOA5U (PS3) and LR (PS4). I didn't buy the season passes (too expensive lol) but I grabbed all the characters and skins for my favorites (Mostly Hitomi and Marie). Grinded the online about as much as I did Soul Calibur 5 and Tekken tag 2. Good times indeed!

bem que podia voltar, geração tá precisando de mais jogos de luta 3D, só Tekken na concorrência fez ele virar essa bomba que é hoje (Virtua Fighter 6 está vindo também, mas o melhor seria mais concorrência junto). Dos 3Ds meu favorito é o DOA5U que infelizmente morreu no DOA6... SoulCalibur também.

Just look at how we went 18+ years with Tina having the biggest boobs, cuz she was the hot, idealized, freedom-loving American girl. And then suddenly in DOA5U-onward, she's been pushed back to like the 3rd or 4th biggest in the cast.

Will note, Nyotengu who was a DLC character in DOA5U, her design did blend in well, especially if you remember Tengu (Bankotsubo) who was in DOA2, DOA4, and DOAD.
