The DPRK deal was due to a specific RU-DPRK defensive alliance, which is why they only fought on Russian soil. And, even then, it wasn't *that* big of an expeditionary corps.

Basically, if the fictional DPRK didnt exist for the west, they would have to invent a country with the idea of being the "worst place on earth." Much of the anti DPRK hate also sweeps into mainstream places. Hollywood and western corporate news media create anti DPRK fiction every single day!

i always wonder what the counterfactual where the Soviets don't purge Cho Man-Sik as leader of North Korea looks like. does DPRK just turn into just another normal Warsaw Pact nation?
It's honestly a little Kim Il-sung coded (from his anti-Japanese guerilla days)

And apart from there being countless western publications spreading anti DPRK hate, there is a wikipedia article about there being a supposed "genocide" of christians in the DPRK, only for the source to be from a right-wing evangelical christian propaganda site located in Washington DC.

I was with some Marxist-Leninist friends yesterday and we were discussing the hatred of the DPRK by westerners. It's something I've often found to be so weird, tbh. I got a working idea that the DPRK hate comes from a need for there to be a place far worse than what these westerners are facing.

Well the DPRK is a state capitalist social “democracy” and social democracy is a liberal movement so DPRK supporters are liberals

Easy to be wise after the event but: DPRK social engineering clevers aside, you probably shouldn't set your systems up so that a single engineer can get up one tuesday morning and have a coffee and check their email and casually download 6.3 billion dollars
The Binance hack was a social engineering attack, according to Binance:
