In honor of #DPS2026, here is my best conference advice for first-time attendees, students, trainees, and advocates. 🧵 First, **take breaks.** Take breaks. You do not need to burn yourself out to have a meaningful conference experience.

Conference are *only* worthwhile to me because I get to connect with people outside of meetings. A hug from Kaitlin, a greeting from Kelly, dinner with my WI LEND team, and a conversation about research with Julie were all highlights of my day! #DPS2026
