I would argue that if you actually volunteer for this assignment you effectively be banned for future certification by DPSST for any law enforcement position in the state.

The investigation into Alder started way back in Feb 2023 with the Monmouth PD. He's finally getting fired only because he's losing his DPSST certificate to be law enforcement.

A sheriff getting a DUII is one thing. Doing it in an official vehicle is another. Then lying to his fellow officers and trying to cheat the breath test is something else entirely. I’ve seen deputies put on Brady lists and/or lose their DPSST licenses over less, hopefully that follows here.
