Sixpence None the Richer are heading back to Australia in March 2027, announcing a nine-date national tour with Killing Heidi frontwoman and solo artist Ella Hooper joining them as special guest. The tour begins at Canberra Theatre on March 2 before moving through Wollongong, Newcastle, Sydney, Tweed Heads, Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide, finishing at Perth’s Astor Theatre on March 18. Sydney gets a Friday night date at the Enmore Theatre on March 5. For many Australian listeners, Sixpence None the Richer remain inseparable from ‘Kiss Me’. Released in the late ’90s, the song spent three weeks at number one in Australia in June 1999 and reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100.

More than three decades after first emerging from the Australian underground wearing balaclavas and weaponising sarcasm like a contact sport, TISM are heading back out on their first full national tour in over 30 years. Which is either deeply exciting or a very elaborate scam. Probably both. Fresh off widely talked-about performances at the Sydney Opera House and Melbourne’s PICA, the notoriously unpredictable group have announced a run of national dates promising “a radically different selection of fan favourites each night,” alongside, in their words, “all the other weird shit that goes on at a TISM show.”

For the second time in 18 months, an uncompromising Anton Newcombe and his cohort of highly talented musicians brought their special brand of psychedelia to Hobart as the Brian Jonestown Massacre droned their way through nearly two hours’ worth of blue pill goodness. There was a tension which was palpable throughout the room, with fans acutely aware of the proceedings from the previous tour which saw Joel Gion leave the stage three quarters of the way through the corresponding performance at the Odeon in 2023 and the ensuing collapse of that tour following an on-stage dust-up in Melbourne.

Suzanne Vega never needed to raise her voice to be heard. From the outset, her music has operated in a different register, one that favours precision over projection, detail over declaration. Emerging from the Greenwich Village folk scene in the early 1980s, she built her reputation in small rooms, where the distance between artist and audience was measured in feet rather than scale. That intimacy carried through to her 1985 debut, a record that positioned her as a central figure in the era’s folk revival while quietly sidestepping its conventions. Vega’s songs didn’t lean on tradition so much as reshape it, threading everyday observation through melodies that felt both familiar and distinctly her own.

Triple Juno Award winner, Ron Sexsmith, one of Canada’s most accomplished singer-songwriters, will make a more-than welcome return to tour NZ & Australia with his band in April 2026. The tour is presented by DRW Entertainment and Gaynor Crawford. Eleven years on from his last visit Down Under, his fans will once again be able to marvel at the sublime songcraft and vocal delivery he is famed for. Known for his insightful lyrics and distinctive voice, Sexsmith has collaborated with the likes of Daniel Lanois, Mitchell Froom, Ane Brun, Tchad Blake, and Bob Rock.

US cult psychedelic outfit, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, have announced an extensive Australia-wide tour set to hit our shores in March 2026, including a date in Auckland, New Zealand to kick off procedings. It was November 2023 when BJM last landed in Australia, with that tour being cut short due to the at times, volatile on-stage antics which occurred on a number of occasions throughout the earlier part of their visit. For this tour, led as always by the singular vision of Anton Newcombe, The Brian Jonestown Massacre will deliver back catalogue highlights, fan favourites and deeper album cuts, along with new revelations from their 20 album plus evolution, including latest singles “Makes Me Great” and “Out of Body".
