Hierzulande immer noch beliebt sind DR650, KLR650, DRZ400 etc. Will man in Deutschland ein taugliches Modell, gibt es ausser KTM 690 Enduro R bzw der baugleichen Husqvarna effektiv nichts. BMW bringt zeitnah die F450GS raus, die ist vergleichbar.

in these areas vietnamese will carry fuel and materials on small bikes with mud chains on the tires, walking it up hill with their feet. the drz400 struggles. many enduro/cross bikes do better

unfortunately in vietnam that's not a thing for big bike parts. you have to import absolutely everything. this one is made specifically for the carb in the DRZ400. the factory screw is not reachable when the bike is assembled

it lets you calibrate the ratio of air and fuel going into the engine without taking the whole stupid idiot bike apart. it sticks out of the carburetor like this

it looks like it was his patrol bike, which chp uses heavy ass bmw sport touring bikes, so it could have gotten caught on one of the bags as well.
as someone who has looped a drz400 when I was doing wheelies in an abandoned parking lot, you come down very hard when you crash a wheelie

I had an early electric, on par that model was the equiv of a DRZ400-SM. Not going to get into arguements, loud pipes don't save lives (science and math at play here). I have loud pipes on some of mine, they make no difference.
