In both cases, officials cited studies that compared cis men's and cis women's athletic abilities, no trans or DSD data at all and deemed both trans women and DSD women to be the same as men and laid down a ban.

There are zero studies showing that "DSD athletes" have an advantage over cis athletes. They do not exist. What people do instead (as I talk about at length on Tested!) is use studies on male athletes and simply say "well DSD athletes are male" which is not true, and not how science works.
