Thank you! I think the book is so controversial for readers because it's hard for us to forgive Fitz's dumbassery. It took me two reads before I really locked into how Millie just wants him to wake up and see what they've always had--and that they could have more--and so I was happy for her.

The mediocre coaching, game management and play this season seems real. I mean, I remember the Saints of the 70s, and the early expansion teams. This season the dumbassery seems more than anecdotal. A guess is more injuries plays a part.

I think this is a big part of it. You see the mental mistakes and sheer dumbassery so much more clearly in the NFL because football players have way more choices to make and way more thinking to do (no to disparage baseball players) and mental mistakes are way funnier. bsky.app/profile/that...
