Customer has “been to the chap on eBay” (like I know him) “but he says the tapes are faulty” If you use decent kit & know what you’re doing, it’s all good. For the Geeks, Sony DSR 2000P, c1999. Broadcast / Pro DVCAM Deck Gives superb results & Video is grabbed via SDI

RIP FireWire, the best bus ever. It enabled me to:
- Boot a broken Mac from an iPod and run all the diagnostic tools I needed
- Do networking
- Turn a Mac into an external harddrive with target mode
- Capture footage from a DVcam
Missed, but not forgotten.

RIP FireWire, the best bus ever. It enabled me to:
- Boot a broken Mac from an iPod and run all the diagnostic tools I needed
- Do networking

Fascinated by some Sony DVCAM DSR machines for a few hours until I realized that they usually only take CVBS/S-Video. I'm glad that I haven't pulled the trigger already🤡
