When this game was announced I was confused because I didn't understand why they would bother remaking DW3 of all games. DW5 is better in every way that matters, so why not remake DW5? Maybe their plan was to add extra content to DW3? This IS just the demo, so maybe there's more than I realize.

I'm playing the Dynasty Warriors 3 demo - this is great, exactly what I wanted; the PS2 games' mechanics, but with modern scale/volume. this rules, can't wait til they get to DW5!

DW8XL has some pretty huge maps. That's my favorite of them, but DW4 and DW5 are right after that.

DW4 was THE ONE! That was pretty much the 'lets keep making musou games'
DW5 was basically an improved version of DW4 though, still great. Then DW6 happened...

They also picked DW3 since that was the game that popularized the series, and the game that fans seemed to have wanted the most. They said that remasters of other games like DW5 depends on the sales of this game.

From what I've found, most people who follow this series liked DW4 or DW5 the best. I think a lot of people played DW3 and then moved on after that.

Good thing to know if you saw the DW3 remaster and want to instead experience the far superior DW4 & DW5 (both excel in different things, play DW4 first)
Also, I'm very fond of the original, block PS2 visuals.
