#Da:i
I hate to hear a bad word about DA:I but you're not wrong

hey, i'm ellaina, elf, rogue, bi disaster, alleged hero, unlucky enough to get dragged into this mess, well drinker and thus certified too elfy for sera. allegedly I make awful decisions but i'm trying my best okay? i never asked for this much responsibility

ME:A and, in their other IP, DA:I have the A2G problem so bad it actively prevents fans from opting to replay the games, among other issues. Main plot tempo subverted by a "finish this up, but some of this is great and the rest is soup" second act.

Didn't studios get shuttered after ME3 and DA:I also?

That is a tough one...

With DA:O, I didn't really feel anyone fit for the Warden.

DA2, however, I loved Merrill. God she was so cute.

DA:I, I am still kinda figuring that out, but so far both Cassandra and Josephine both have been amazing options.

Haven't played Veilguard yet lol

Anyone know a method to take screenshots in DA:I while running mods through Frosty? I’ve seen some suggestions that seem to suggest workarounds that one can’t implement if loading from Frosty (i.e. start game from Nvidia app) but obviously people are taking screenies SOMEhow

giving her the name of a mythical shield-maiden makes me so giddy. the only other depiction of Lagertha I adore dearly is Katheryn's role in Vikings since she's a big inspo for DA:I! Althea haha

You can criticize it for not giving you a million choices or including literal evil paths like BG3 does, but none of the DA games have ever been about being or becoming evil. You're always the hero, and in DA:V you get to feel that quite a lot (DA:I did that very well too, I think!)

nalla has simply always been, "big woman, big axe." since her creation in 2020 for da:i, and then in d&d. i was legally required to be a warrior main.
#wolqotd How did you pick the main / canon job for you WoL/OC?

Cory’s vibes became so much more generic in DA:I, such a downgrade from the evil ass yet almost pitifully lost wizard of Legacy.

Really wish they borrowed more of The Architect for his vibes in DAI

Hello, old friend.

I’m playing DA:I for the first time (bought it years ago on a deep sale) and let me tell you
I have never before bought a game and then later wanted to pirate that game instead. What the fuck is this Launcher

*sees DA:I on list*
Not today, Satan.

Sadly I’m not surprised BioWare got shuttered. At the end of the day it’s a business and its last three flagship games were either practical failures (anthem) or financial duds. BioWare functionally died after DA:I

I'm not an expert on the video game industry, so maybe there's some nuance I'm missing, but didn't EA shutter the BioWare studios that made ME3 and DA:I? I didn't play Andromeda and Veilguard in large part because of that. But I see people praise both of those games.

First iteration of FenRook, going off memory and no ref shots + mods.

My imaginary kingdom for full body mods of his markings in DATV (and DA:I)

I never played DA:I. I tried playing on launch and was annoyed by the fact that you can’t play a Quinari with hair (like the race card) and uninstalled.

Tried later with mods and found the opening boring and never finished it.

Did DA:I have unskippabe scenes preaching to you about it like DA:V?

I have multiple characters so lets go with:
- DA:O - Allistair? I think? Just one full run.
- DA2 - Fenris always and forever
- DA:I Solas, The Iron Bull & Dorian (M inquis)
- DA:TV Emmrich & Lucanis
- ME 1-3: Garrus, no one else. It will always be Garrus.
- ME:A Jaal forever.

It will be, yes. Only Hawke returns in DA:I.
October 24, 2026 at 7:13 PM
I refuse to choose in DA:I in particular. It's impossible.
October 24, 2026 at 11:57 AM
genuinely my biggest beef is "paywalled true ending" though. such a terrible thing. especially since da:i was a game made for older consoles as well, bu the dlc was not available on those consoles so you were SOL if you played 360/ps3
October 25, 2026 at 4:02 PM
ANYWAY as someone who went into veilguard skeptical because da:i kind of left a bad taste in my mouth, i like so much of what we got and the story that they got to tell and it really made me love the franchise again
October 25, 2026 at 4:04 PM
Also I tried to recreate my Inquisitor. I somehow did a better job in DA:TV than I did in DA:I (her hair is modded in DA:I).
October 25, 2026 at 3:36 PM
my main experience with dragon age fandom was/is just cyclically being exposed to people's bad takes about sera from da:i and consequently making a tumblr post about how good her writing was every ~3 years

just to keep my righteous indignation top of mind
October 25, 2026 at 5:08 PM
People will miss BioWare, but not even the DA:I Cullen romancers miss this fucking guy.
