If you saw the other post no you didn't it was a HOT MESS and I got a book title wrong!!!

Also tried to listen to "Daggerbound" by T. Kingfisher, but it was unbearably slow to start, and the constant stuttering of the main character near drove me mad, so I had to drop it... first audiobook that I had to drop this year 💀

finally got @tkingfisher.com ‘s daggerbound through libby and on page 1 I immediately get hit in the face with the brick of recognition that this is a simultaneous sequel to swordheart AND the clocktaur duology. hell yes

I got three romantasies from the dinky new romantasy collection - in its own stand, no less! - and a couple of T Kingfishers I put on hold after I read Daggerbound last week. It was good!

Finished: Daggerbound, and a good read it was. Looking forward to the third in the series.

Read part of a thread on Reddit where a user listed, book by book, where T. Kingfisher “dunked” on other authors in her acknowledgments, so I got curious.
After listening to Daggerbound (good book, btw!), I checked out the e-book from my local library to read the acknowledgments.

After finishing Daggerbound, I decided to re-read Swordheart. I'd forgotten how much I adore Halla.

I got motivated & submitted some work today.

The Daggerbound book that I started reading yesterday is delightful.

Yesterday had slightly less rain than today.

Almost done with the Daggerbound audiobook, and FINALLY started reading A Wizard's Guide to Defensive Baking while I was at an appointment this morning.
I was awake entirely too early, and now hold a personal grudge with the extremely mouthy squirrel outside.

Did you read swordheart and daggerbound after, or are you waiting for the shield book to come out first before reading them?

PAL-A-DIN! PAL-A-DIN! PAL-A-DIN! (Clarification: cheering you on generally, not poking) ((Also DELIGHTED with the amount of Zale in Daggerbound, the reappearance of G-hug, and generally what a good egg Edmund grew to be))

I did finish Astarion and Daggerbound. Since there’s so much drama regarding the first, I’ll just say I enjoyed Daggerbound as much as Swordheart. Maybe even more. I try to not put authors on pedestals anymore, but Kingfisher has led me through a lot of dark times.

Okay I finished Daggerbound and I loved it. It wasn't quite the same feeling I got from Swordheart (and I might just be overdosing on T. Kingfisher these days so maybe I need to take a break and come back to her fresh) but dammit if I didn't just start What Feasts at Night by T. Kingfisher.

T. Kingfisher, Daggerbound

There’s a sequel, too! It’s called Daggerbound, it’s real good.

Daggerbound ⚔️
by T. Kingfisher
What I Loved: felt like a D&D adventure, silly goofs, absolutely adorable romance

What’s the title? I’m working on Daggerbound again. Got hard copy from the library again.

T. Kingfisher keeps writing books that are tailor-made for me specifically, and Daggerbound is no exception. The new characters are delightful, including an excellent addition to the gnole roster and a <redacted> friend, and I was actively squeeing at the return of old faces in the second half.

I'm a Kingfisher fan who can't read this particular book ( some are too intense for me) and yea, plenty of people still enjoy her works. I am excited for the book after Daggerbound

Holiday read klaxon 📣:

I need everyone to know that Daggerbound by T Kingfisher is everything I wanted it to be.

I also read Half a Soul by Olivia Atwater and now I need MORE REGENCY UP IN THIS BITCH.

(It’s me, I am this bitch)

Can you judge a book by its cover? Let's find out!

I went to my beautiful local library to see what covers stood out to me, what I think they say about the story, and if Goodreads agrees.

What do you think? Do you agree?

54. Daggerbound by T. Kingfisher--god, Kingfisher's books are so delightful. I was glad to see Edmund had some further character development off screen. I was also glad to see the return of several other characters, as the book benefited from the feeling of the expanded world. 📚💙🪐
