Space Demon Daikengo is perhaps the most obscure robot cartoon of the 70s and would be the short lived Tori Pro's single animated production. Did its imaginative Robin Hood-in-space premise overcome poor production values?

I'm frequently caught aback by how religious these shows can be. I'm currently working my way through Daikengo and it's come up multiple times that the robot is literally being directed by God.

Anyway Daikengo is a great eggzample of a Star Wars knockorf by people who I don't think had ever actually SEENED Star Wars, just read about it (cuz its Japanese releask was delayed a year)

The color grade is the only thing I really like about this, filtering is meh

Daikengo was good! I had a really good time with this one. We could use more robots like this guy, not every cool robot can be made out of several funny vehicles, including a buggy.
