Generally, governments do not build pipelines, business does. Businesses like Enbridge. If Enbridge CEO is saying that there isn't a case for new pipelines, who TF is Smith to think she knows better?
Recently Danielle Smith was in the news claiming Canada lost $billions in O&G investment because of Federal regulations.
But Enbridge's CEO Ebel says "he’d rather build 10 different “$100-million-dollar expansions that happen quickly,” compared to a new “billion-dollar pipe.”"

This post from another site is worth a read. Danielle Smith is misleading Albertans and stoking (separatist) anger over CPP premiums. As the post says, every Canadian pays the same into CPP and gets the same benefits out. "Alberta workers"? "Alberta seniors"? Do none of them move to work or retire?

If a pipeline if such a good idea that it would make Alberta wealthy, then why aren't the big oil companies lining up to get it built?
