Bottom line: datapump to the new RU. Your free database is a smattering of gigabytes - it won't take more than a few minutes anyway, and won't leave you wondering *forever* - "I wonder if this database is *really* working the way its meant to"

a datapump-export/import of the affected table gave also the invalid number errors during import. I raised a SR with, but it ended in an endless loop (SQL isssue or data corruption ping-pong). At the end we did an update of the number field with a rounded value,

With users, grants, APEX, prefs, etc. it is not as easy as just datapump in my exp (maybe doing it wrong).
I only use this approach with do backups for my **local DB** 😅.
I love the Free DB, that’s how I learned my first steps. So I wish it was easier to upgrade => doable for non DBAs.

💯 agree.
