Experimenting with the various watercolor/paint tools today.
I've kind of wanted to get into painting despite my color-blindness just because I'm color-blind; I want to see what other people make of it.
Also discovered the blur tool and may have used it a bit too much.

Got an early birthday gift: a cheap, basic Wacom tablet.
Never used a tablet/stylus before, and the last time I remember drawing anything was back in high school.

But f**k it, let's try using it anyway.
I'll set myself a challenge of drawing something once a day.
Welcome to #DaxDrawsDaily.

Day 5 of #DaxDrawsDaily.
Spent most of today with a migraine but bounced back enough to attempt some of what I was trying for yesterday: drawing simple expressions. Only done 10 out of the 15, but I'm feeling pretty good about some of these; not a lot of detail but I think I got some of these down.

#DaxDrawsDaily Ended up with something bizarre here. Started by testing pen tools, discovered the "liquify" tool and ran it over some scribbles and then decided to try filling the results in with colors.
I imagine this is some kind of avian alien ambassador as viewed by Hunter S. Thompson.

Put the photo-trace project on hold for a bit, wanted to get back to just learning and experimenting with tools and getting used to the stylus.
Played around with the chalk/charcoal tools, blurred it down then added some weird geometry. Getting weird with shapes is my passion. 😅

A had a plan for today's #DaxDrawsDaily but I've hit a roadblock with Clip Studio Paint: apparently it doesn't understand the concept of copy/paste and just creates new layers.
How does a drawing program fuck up the most simple command of COPY & PASTE?!

#DaxDrawsDaily Day 2:
Still experimenting with tools and using the stylus, still keeping to simple things like squares. Tried to hand-draw a 3d cube but I turned it into a messed-up gelatinous cube.
Also tried a charcoal/pencil/crayon options for trees and a Don-Hertzfeld-style person.

Trying to make a bit more progress with this photo-tracing idea I have for #DaxDrawsDaily today, but keep running into issues with this software, trying to figure out how to apply some real simple stuff without jumping through 6 tools and 10 menus. More details in the alt-text.

#DaxDrawsDaily continues.
Didn't have a lot of time today due to errands and health problems, so decided to try a quick draw+color, trying the pencil tools and eyedropper. Chose a red panda pic for no reason whatsoever, and oof... this looks like I did a crime. This one feels bad.

To start off, something easy: drawing circles.
As I said, haven't drawn in decades and not used to using a stylus, so starting as basic as I can.
...These are ass, but at least I'm practicing.
Maybe I can do something with these a bit later.
