Just started watching “Predator:Badlands” and just in the first few minutes I’m thinking:

“Someone really needs to do the Harry Harrison ‘Deathworld’ book as a movie”

At minimum the first book, and honestly diverge from there, there absolutely is a whole franchise in there potentially.

I seem to recall there was another script, after the Deathworld idea had been rejected, that was more in line with what we got only the First Doctor's role was far more prominent.

Deathworld's not bad, but wow, what if that had actually been the 10th anniversary celebratory story. 🫢

So, the original plan for what would later become 1972's The Three Doctors, was adapted into an official audio drama by Big Finish a few years ago. It was entitled Deathworld.
