While Dec26 Brent is a couple bucks off highs, curve still pricing in $96 average oil price for the rest of the year, pretty rough for a global economy which kicked off the year at $60.

Spot oil surging this morning while Dec oil barely budging. Dec26 at 79, current levels way off highs and less than 20% up from pre-war levels. Suggests markets still pricing very low probability of extended conflict / Hormuz closure.
