On June 1, 2026 the Decatur County Board of Commissioners approved minutes, county claims and payroll, renewed a jail tracking contract and greenlit fair vendor and facility-use requests while hearing updates on roads and a possible annex energy retrofit.

At their Dec. 1 meeting, commissioners approved minutes and claims, payroll of $415,873.38, a CDL reimbursement program, Ad Valorem as the reassessment contractor after excluding Tyler's bid, a temporary parks take-home vehicle through 06/30/2026, multiple board reappointments and the appointment of Kyla Holzbosch; they also approved the county attorney contract (transcript shows a date typo).

At the Nov. 17 meeting the board moved the commercial vehicle excise tax to the county general fund, reappointed two hospital board members and appointed a new member, and opened three bids for the countywide reassessment; multiple routine approvals (minutes, claims, payroll) also carried.
