Eight European locations selected for the 2026 EUDIS Defence Hackathon
The European Commission has officially announced the eight host organisations for the upcoming EUDIS Defence Hackathon. This event will take place simultaneously across several European countries from 15 to 17 October 2026. These selected hosts represent active innovation ecosystems that focus on defence and deep-tech technology. Participants will work on the theme of battlefield autonomy, specifically focusing on navigation without satellite signals and swarm coordination for reconnaissance and logistics. Over a period of 48 hours, teams will build working prototypes with the help of industry experts and mentors. Each host location will also add a specific challenge based on their national defence priorities. Engineering teams, startups and tech professionals are encouraged to apply. The event is open to citizens from the European Union, Norway and Ukraine to foster collaboration and technological growth.
