Auditioning bands for Indiana Bones & Dana Skully’s wedding reception. Maybe shouldn’t have met them at the sidewalk cemetery on Friday during rush hour. Might try to catch a later-night set next week. Will probably forget.

A gigantic graverobbing ghoul wearing a Santa hat drags Santa Skeleton across a yard. Behind him, a 20 foot ghost in a Santa hat. Beside him, an average adult human-sized ghoul carries a red sack and wears a Santa hat. They’re all standing in the small front yard of a large gray house in Alexandria, Virginia. A fake black iron fence and fake tombstones add ambience. Nothing to worry about here.
Or there.
The small fenced front yard of a brick house with scrims of a forest scene fluttering in the wind. 6 adult size figures in black dresses and rabbit masks stand in a semi-circle. In front of them, 6 smaller human figures in long white lace wedding gowns, black wigs and rabbit masks stand around an altar with a small sacrifice on it of child-size human bones. 2 figures in masculine suit & tie and rabbit ears sit in chairs off to the side. Not pictured: on the other side of the driveway a group of figures in red, presumably handmaids from The Handmaid’s Tale, stand in a group. Del Ray, Alexandria, Virginia. 2025 #DelRayHalloween A figure, I estimate to be 15 feet tall, stands amid fake gravestones. The figure is made of driftwood or other reclaimed wood and has a pumpkin for a skull. Its arms are raised and it dangles a doll from a chain in one hand. fake crows perch on its shoulders and hip. The novelty tombstones are for Seymour Butts, Barry M Deep and Izzy Deadyet. Del Ray, Alexandria, Virginia. 2025 #DelRayHalloween
