Whatever the cause of their hairpulling, people should bear in mind that doing so they spread dandruff and demodex mites all around... very annoying for those who suffer from demodicosis blepharitis meibomian gland dysfunction keratonjuntivitis (all very often present in #sjogrens)

Not quite! Besides the vast array of microorganisms we're interdependent on (such as e. coli!), demodex folliculorum is a mite that is an obligate commensalite of humans! They live their whole lives on our faces, but generally don't cause problems unless they overpopulate -- causing demodicosis.

Sadly, I think it is the return of a previous infection - for which I have the medicine on hand. These are the culprits for blepharitis:

Demodex is a type of mite living inside of human hair follicles. They usually don’t cause any problems, but too many can lead to demodicosis, an itchy skin condition.
