After demoulding, the castings apparently then want to be baked for 4hrs at 60c followed by 2 hrs at 100c, as well. Right needy sods!

Still getting used to this new mould, but 6/8 came out good today!
(I demoulded one of these yesterday and I had used far too much black pigment that not one of them were salvageable)

One of the toys hitting the Lab in Friday’s drop at 6pm BST is a monstrous size Tendriss in the ‘Malibu Ski Suit’ pour.
I don’t pour these too often as, at 50cm long and 1.7kg, demoulding them is a tiring fight! Pics are tricky too.
These pours are also UV reactive - I’ll get a vid sorted shortly 🤩

Demoulding tokens. Some lessons learned - sure I can mix colours of glow powder which is neat. But it sinks through other infusions and gathers much more effectively than imagined.
*All* art is just happy accidents, so this isn’t a concern but I do want to achieve certain things. But wait…

I really didn't think about demoulding this one. Printed it on the wrong profile too so it's way stronger than it should be 😭 Never rush the CAD and printing stages, you'll only regret it - I usually make the moulds as much thinner skins but I was in a hurry that day and got lazy 😮💨 never again

He's well worth the fail for how I collapsed laughing on the floor after demoulding him, with Raz looking on very incredulously 😂

Belated Update: the demoulding was a catastrophe. The mould release i used actually causes silicone to BOND to silicone. Someone at the movie FX place sold me the wrong stuff. Thankfully, i didn't use much so i might be able to salvage the mould, may end up redoing it anyway because of other flaws.

Lab Log: the lab has experienced a temperature drop, and some of the specimen want to hibernate.
(Another purple and black! This time a 00-30 soft! Sadly even after 20hr (5x typical) it was still a bit green from the cold, and one of the loops broke in demoulding.)

So pretty (and I love using a lint roller for demoulding!), my vote is on a classic white so it's easily readable and leans into the dessert theme.

I failed one bunny, but that cup of resin seemed a bit delicate.
Other flatter pieces and stag head are awaiting demoulding probably tomorrow as they take longer to cure hard.
