Today we ran a new cable up the tower of Derby Cathedral, and relocated our spare webcam on the new peregrine nestbox.
Needs some tweaking still, but at least it’s working, and giving an alternative view looking outwards.

No signs yet that our peregrines have discovered the new nest box we've built for them. Hoping they're not put off by its "scandi sauna vibe" - as one reviewer described it!

Derby Cathedral - this box is brand spanking new with a scandi sauna vibe, we will have to see if the peregrines take to it. The previous nest box suffered some sort of structural collapse and the second camera here still points at that

Exciting times waiting for the postman next week!

Three wide-angle #Axis IP outdoor cameras with IR illumination and an external microphone should be winging their way to me shortly. Oh, plus a cheap analogue nest camera for direct TV viewing.

Maybe not so exciting for you, but they are for me!

That's quite the bruiser!

We had one of our #DerbyPeregrines take an Arctic Turn that was ringed in June 2002 on an island off the SW of Sweden, and was caught over our city in 2007.
It had certainly done some mileage!
