Go to an early area. Don't kill this specific mob - reduce it to below 20% HP. It will split; 20% chance it's the rare enemy you want. You're way too powerful now, so use a skill that specifically does EXACTLY 1000 damage so you don't instantly kill the mob. #FFXII #designchoices

Go to an early area. Don't kill this specific mob - reduce it to below 20% HP. It will split; 20% chance it's the rare enemy you want. You're way too powerful now, so use a skill that specifically does EXACTLY 1000 damage so you don't instantly kill the mob. #FFXII #designchoices

Because players are almost contrary by nature I didn't want to explicitly say 'Arcana is only for NPCs/mobs!' Instead I gave Arcana 6 Traits, instead of 5 like Body, Psionics, and Tech. Then going with the design choice of Personas requiring 6 Traits total.
