Chiroteuthis sp., 49 m, #Designingthefuture2 in 2021. Dr. Heather Judkins, cephalopod taxonomist, noticed the bright spots along the tentacles and around the eyes and suspects the animal is displaying bioluminescence to attract prey, a common behavior for many squid.
