this morning i'm playing poschengband. there's an interesting class i haven't tried- the devicemaster! this is similar to the device oriented mage we tried recently, but this variant has an official class for it with some supplementary abilities like an innate to detect magical devices at range!

as a devicemaster, we have a pretty costly upgrade path ahead of us! unlike book based mages, who are looking at 150, then 1500 for the second book, we're looking at about 2-8k per wand. there's a stinking cloud wand in town for 1k, which is a steal if we can afford it. also this lamp!
