Eine maltesische Dghajsa, traditionell bemalt. (6x6-Dia-Scan, Dia-Rollfilm, Aufnahme ca. 1996)
Quadratisches Farbbild der Bugseite eines bunt bemalten Holzbootes. Unten blau, dann gelb, dann ein Rand mit gemustertem Holz, darüber wieder gelb-blaue Randbauten mit mit weißer Bootsnummer F185. Im gelben Bereich vorne am Bug sind 2 große Augen aufgemalt. Vorne oben ist ein gelb bemalter Reifen als Poller aufgestülpt. Das Boot liegt auf Fels an Land, links ist Wasser zu sehen, der Himmel oben ist wolkenlos blau.

You can take a ride in a dghajsa across the grand harbour in Valletta #malta. What is unusual is that they are rowed facing forward with the oars crossed in front. Souvenir models of the dghajsa are for sale in all the tourist shops.

It is a near impossibility to have a holiday in #malta and not photograph one of the many colourful boats - the dghajsa or luzzu. Painted in red, yellow and blue with the eye of Osiris on the front.
