I have a poem in the latest issue of New Contrast, launched last week. Issue 211 is a beauty, with tributes to #ZoeWicomb and #DianaFerrus. I'm honored to be a co-contributor with #DamonGalgut.

You touched so many with your wisdom, #poetry and voice, dear #DianaFerrus. Fearlessly loving, you stood with Saartjie Baartman (ao). Thank you for our conversations under the same moon... you leave me speechless... but your spirit will sing forever! XA

« #DianaFerrus is perhaps best known for her profoundly impactful poem, "I’ve Come to Take You Home." The work was dedicated to Sarah Baartman and played a pivotal role in the repatriation of Baartman’s remains [...] after they had been kept in France for 192 years. » www.ewn.co.za/2026/02/01/m...
