Dickson County leaders moved a proposed resolution on license-plate reader (LPR) cameras to the regular session after Sheriff Eads described lease terms, controls on access and a 90-day deletion policy for reads not tied to investigations.

The commission voted to move a proposal to borrow roughly $27.5 million for Charlotte Middle School (with possible project costs nearer $30M) to the regular session; mayor said the county could borrow without raising taxes under current projections.

Facing a proposed jump to $54/ton, Dickson County staff reported securing a 3-year phased offer from Waste Management starting at $40/ton (then $44, $46) with no fuel-surcharge, and moved a recommendation to the regular meeting amid concerns about future capacity and rebidding risks.

The Dixon County Planning Commission approved most of Tennessee Steel Buildings’ site plan while excluding a nonconforming office building; the company must vacate that office and submit a compliance plan and building permits within 90 days, and other improvements (parking, landscaping, traffic mitigations) were accepted.
