yeah i just wasn't looking close enough...... now that you mention connections the pelvis also looks like it doesn't have space for the leg joints
i mainly like that the legs seem designed for the feet to rest flat on the treads, kinda uncommon for digitigrades but it's good for a couple of things

This also makes loons and a small number of over diving birds that also have this going the only birds that aren't digitigrades. Like you can't be classified as an animal that stands on their toes when you like... don't really stand at all technically lol
