I liked that some scenes moved quites slowely and the way the world around them was portrayed. The lesson that I took away from the movie was that even if you try to surpress who you are, it will only end up hurting not just yourself but also the people around you.

-queer in a conservative country while also being enrolled in a Catholic school that made a whole wire fence to separate boys and girls. How I feel towards the movie might be different from how #DirectorPatrickLiu actually feels as a gay man who is basically telling his own story. I might have-

In conclusion I hold this movie dearly in my heart but it is a really painful watch. The whole movie feels like a love declaration and I wish the director would have had a happy ending like in the movie.

I didn’t know it was based on the director’s own story until after, but I could feel through the scenes that it was real in some way💔 It’s so incredibly sad to see how love had to hide under pressure and fear. All because the world wasn’t ready for it. #LoveIsLove #DirectorPatrickLiu
