This is how our government has been corrupted:

1) Donors give huge sums to elect politicians to office
2) Elected officials rewrite rules in the donors' favor
3) Donors make huge profit
4) Repeat

We must get big money out of politics.

It is the root of our dysfunction.

The most impactful & positive act of solidarity that Starmer and the EU could do together, right now, is to simultaneously block X, and all of it's Nazi-saluting fascist billionaire psychopaths.

Remember that one time, when women almost had the chance to secure PAY EQUITY in AotearoaNZ, and then Luxon’s Government took that away?
So glad we’ve moved on from that blatant misogyny in the year 2026. 🙄😠 #nzpol #OneTermGovernment #DitchThePricksIn2026

“fuck you bottom feeders”

…to 93% of kiwi households. 🍿

Odd choice, but as it’s election year, I’ll allow it. #DitchThePricksIn2026 #nzpol #OneTermGovernment
There are approximately 2.02M h/holds in NZ - just under 7% of NZ h/holds will receive an in work tax credit of $50/week to assist with rising fuel costs.

Not our most impoverished h/holds tho, not h/holds without children, and not most two-income h/holds.

About 140,000 families to get $50 a week to help with high fuel prices
The boost is expected to cost about $373 million and last no more than a year.
