While I'm writing heat threads, common meds that will screw you up in the heat include stimulants for ADHD, SSRIs, SNRIs, diuretics, and ACE inhibitors.

While I'm writing heat threads, common meds that will screw you up in the heat include stimulants for ADHD, SSRIs, SNRIs, diuretics, and ACE inhibitors.
The development & testing of ANY new regulated medicine involves placebo-controlled clinical trials — it’s a cornerstone of research.
That’s true for vaccines.

This is because I buried my mother today, who died because she abused unprescribed diuretics, leading to a heart attack by way of acute hypokalemia. She had intense body image issues, the diuretics helped her not feel "puffy"

Seeing a lot of “the heat only kills the elderly and those with existing conditions, stop complaining” and feeling a familiar sense of disappointment.
I don’t know how to explain that you should care about people etc etc but also: we are all people and vulnerable.
