Doerkson is a bait and switch then? lol. Of course he is. That's so incredibly conservative. Lie to get elected and then do as they please once they have a majority. #bcpoli #cdnpolil
Conservative Party said it would make Doerkson permanent leader if elected premier. But this would require change to party's constitution, which does not allow interim leader to run for leadership. This would require two-thirds vote of membership. NDP warns this is same membership that elected KLF.

Doerkson is going to get an avalanche of scrutiny over the next five weeks. So will all his candidates. His right flank will demand red meat on culture war issues while he tries to mostly talk trade.
It'll be a tough tightrope.
But I came away with the same read on disposition as Tyler did.

Lorne Doerkson feels like an incredibly dangerous opponent. A guy who gives off just a ton of Horgan-ish unthreatening dad vibes for normies. Maybe he'll fall apart upon closer inspection. But he'll be graded, in part, on how much unlike KLF he appears.
British Columbians are going to see a lot of Lorne Doerkson very quickly.
