In this square photo, a part of the building history of the Domkerk in Utrecht is 'summarized'. Even a layman like me, counts at least seven different types of brickwork. From sandstone, via bricks to arches, black and original red. You can find this wall / these walls just around the corner on the east side of the church, opposite the Academy Building. The photo was taken late in the evening, and shows how a single 'old -fashioned' lantern is sufficient to light up such a wall from the dark.
